Experience Through Their Eyes

5-7-25 Just passing through. Excellent food! Breakfast served all day! The omelette was amazing and definitely a home cooked meal! The home fries are cooked just right! The Burger was the best! Huge and cooked to perfection! The seasoned fries were oh so good! Our server (the pink haired girl) was fast and accommodating although not the most personable. Needs work on customer service skills. At least ask how our meal was and if we want anything else before leaving the check. The interior has an old historic feel and charm. Overall this was a great stop! Will definitely stop back by when through this way in the future!

My family and I were in my hometown for three days last month and each morning, we ate at Old 50 Cafe. Although all the usual menu items were ordered for breakfast, it was the potatoes that my daughter says were five stars. She's from Ann Arbor and has eaten at many different restaurants there. She maintain that nowhere has she tasted fried potatoes like those made at Old 50 Cafe. She couldn't wait to get there each morning, just to get those potatoes. We were able to sit by the big window overlooking Franklin, watching the traffic and seeing people walking by. It was all very nice and homey

This little Cafe has exceeded all of my expectations. The pancakes are my favorite. They come out of the kitchen fresh and hot, with perfectly crisp edges and soft throughout the center. They aren't overly sweet but definitely not dull in flavor either. It's just right. The bacon is super tasty also. The service is very friendly, welcoming, and fast. The prices are very reasonable. This will be my go to for breakfast and brunch!

Unplanned visit with our granddaughter (5) was unexpectedly fantastic! We were headed to McDonald's on Labor Day and saw Old 50 Cafe was open. I told our granddaughter, who likes to play on playgrounds at McDonald's and she was disappointed. She asked if they were kid-friendly. When we saw the kids menu she said, "This place is great for kids!" She had several good options and chose spaghetti. We had very delicious homemade foods and many choices too. It was a-win-win-win experience.
